Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Polaris Research's public-opinion polling platform (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Polaris Research provides a survey research platform that fields public-opinion polls of likely Alaska voters and provides weighted results, methodology disclosure, and analytical deliverables to paying clients.

2. Client portal access

Access to the client portal is granted on a per-client basis by Polaris Research staff. Client portal users may view only the projects belonging to their organization and which Polaris Research has explicitly released to the portal. Sharing portal credentials with parties outside your organization is prohibited.

3. Data and confidentiality

All survey responses are collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Aggregated poll results delivered to clients are the property of the funding client; individual respondent identifiers are never shared with clients. Polaris Research retains the right to publish methodology disclosures consistent with AAPOR Transparency standards.

4. Permitted use

Clients may use deliverables (toplines, crosstabs, AAPOR methodology PDFs, raw data files where licensed) for any lawful purpose, subject to the project agreement signed at engagement time. Reverse-engineering the platform or attempting to access projects belonging to other clients is prohibited.

5. Methodology and disclosure

Polaris Research operates AAPOR-Transparency-compliant. Methodology documents are published at /methodology/. Polaris reserves the right to publish the methodology disclosure for any public-release poll regardless of client preference, consistent with AAPOR norms.

6. Billing and payment

Polls are quoted at project kickoff and invoiced upon delivery unless an alternative schedule is agreed in writing. Late payments may pause access to in-flight reporting. Refer to your project agreement for specifics.

7. Service availability and limitations

The Service is provided "as is." Polaris Research uses reasonable efforts to maintain availability but does not warrant uninterrupted operation. Polaris Research's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees paid for the project in question.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated periodically. Material changes will be communicated to client portal users via email and posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
